VCHA, JYP Entertainment's (JYP) new global girl group, will make their official debut on January 26 with the release of their first single "Girls of the Year".

VCHA (Lexi, Camila, Kendall, Savannah, KG, and Kaylee) will release their debut single "Girls of the Year" and title track of the same name on Friday, January 26 at 2 p.m., marking the eagerly anticipated arrival of the global rookies. The first single includes two songs: "Girls of the Year", the title track, and "XO Call Me".

Their official debut song "Girls of the Year" reflects VCHA's precious dreams, bold ambitions, and lofty goals to become "the girls who symbolize this year," as the song title suggests. The song's credits include Marcus Andersson, who has collaborated with Les Serafim and others, Lauren Aquilina, who has created hit songs for global girl group Little Mix, American pop stars Demi Lovato, and IVE, and Chloe Latimer, who has written for several K-pop artists including TWICE, IU, and Oh My Girl.

The new music video shows scenes of the six members industriously practicing their choreography in harmony to fulfill their dreams in a rehearsal room, for their future on a big stage as world-renowned celebrities and to be featured in fashion magazines alternatively. It shows VCHA's enthusiasm and passion for transforming dreams into reality and looks forward to the bright future they will create.

VCHA will perform at the opening stage for TWICE's fifth world tour at Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico on February 2 and 3 (local time), Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil on March 6 and 7 (local time), and at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, USA on March 16 (local time) to raise their global reputation.

VCHA was born by the mega-project "A2K" (America2Korea), a collaboration between JYP, a leading K-pop agency, and Republic Records of the Universal Music Group, the No. 1 label in the U.S., selected by Billboard. The group's name was hand-picked by JYP executive producer Jin-young Park to imply that “VCHA will shine a light on their fans and the world”. Prior to the release of their official debut single, VCHA released their pre-debut single "SeVit (NEW LIGHT)" and title track "Y.O.Universe" on September 22, 2023, to celebrate the grand finale of A2K. The music video for "Y.O.Universe" entered the rankings of 33 regions in the world the day after its release, including No. 1 on YouTube Trending Worldwide, No. 5 in the U.S., No. 7 in Brazil, and No. 8 in Canada. The single "Ready for the World," released on December 1, surpassed 200,000 streams on Spotify, a global music streaming platform, within five days of its release.

VCHA was named one of Grammy.com's "25 Artists To Watch In 2024", and their first single "Girls of the Year" was selected as one of US magazine NYLON's "22 Most Anticipated Albums of 2024," proving their global appeal. VCHA, JYP's rookie girl group, is set to kick off their career as the next global superstars with their official debut single "Girls
